Bruce was born in Leicester. In 1974 he joined the legendary Bill Barnacle Jazz Band as a young cockle and stayed for 25 years. Bruce's association with Switzerland began in 1987 with a series of gigs at the notorious Casa Bar in Zurich - with veterans of the Bob Wallis Storyville Jazzmen. Since 1998 Bruce been a professional musician playing internationally with many bands and stars, including Gary Potter, Trevor Richards, Phil Franklin, et al. Since 2003 Bruce has been featured with all of the various Sid Kucera bands and recently took up the reed chair with the Jazz Ambassadors.
Bruce says he recognises no musical boundaries, playing and teaching jazz in all its forms: New Orleans; Dixieland; Tradtional; Swing; Mainstream; Bebop; Modern; and Gypsy Jazz. We are now proud to be able to present Bruce playing with Jill's Cocktail Band.
