Before emigrating to Germany in 1970 Eddie played as
a professional musician in various bands throughout the UK including
such well-known groups as “Sound Coasters” and “The
Equals“. Continuing his musical career in Germany, Eddie toured
Europe with the professional band “Joe Pepe Quintet“ .
In the early 1990‘s Eddie changed his musical style to Jazz.
He took to the double bass and joined the well-known Schaffhausen
Jazz band “Farmer’s Best“ touring with the band
even as far as New Orleans, the heart of the jazz culture. Following
the split up of “Farmer’s Best” the „Scafusia
Jazz Orchestra“ – was formed - a highly professional,
traditional Jazz Band, with whom Eddie is still playing today. Eddie
Davies joined Jill’s Cocktail Band in early 2004 as double
bassist/ vocalist.
