Jill Benz
|
Jill was born in Preston, north England and has been
a great fan of the music of the 20‘s to 40‘s since her
youth. Influenced by the great female singers of the 30‘s such
as Helen Forest, Billy Holiday and the young Ella Fitzgerald, Jill
worked towards getting together a repertoire of traditional jazz standards.
Encouraged by close friend, Jazz diva Anetta Zehnder, Jill enrolled
in the ACM jazz school in Zurich in 2000 to improve her vocal skills,
and has since been a dedicated student of the Zurich jazz composer
and vocal tutor, Gabriella Tanner. Jill is manager of the band and
responsible for the style and repertoire. |
