Phil Franklin

Phil Franklin was born in the UK and began his career as Jazz drummer over 50 years ago in London. During his long career he has worked together with many famous musicians including Ben Webster, Duke Ellington Orchestra, Champion Jack Duree, The Seekers, Hazy Osterwalt, Harry "Sweets" Edison. His drumming can be heard on the recordings of many international jazz and swing bands. Phil also heads his own jazz band the Phil Franklin Jazz Band and plays as guest drummer with many other jazz formations. Phil now lives in Winterthur and has his own music shop selling a variety of musical instruments and also manages a music school in Winterthur.
